I love free stuff

Confession: I love free stuff. I enter just about every giveaway I see on Instagram. Just ask my sister. It's a thing I do. I also love taking surveys to make a few dollars, get free stuff, or possibly win a(nother) giveaway. Recently I signed up to post reviews/complete surveys and receive free samples, coupons, etc. from Smith's. I also love Smith's. Because it is the Utah version of Ralph's, where I grew up shopping in CA, it makes me feel at home. I love the customer service and the free produce for the kids. And of course I love the Free Friday coupons! (Look it up if you haven't yet signed up!)

Last week I received my first Smith's package, which included

• lots of coupons for a barbecue
• Private Selection green chile ranch seasoning rub
• Private Selection Texas Inspired BBQ Kettle Potato Chips

Jon and I broke into the chips before I got around to cooking with the rub, and they were delicious. Almost too much flavor, if flavor isn't your thing, you know? But we do, and BBQ chips are one of Jon's favorite snacks. We give them a collective four thumbs up. Tonight I finally made some chicken with the rub. I am not good at improvising, so I was happy the package came with super simple instructions to follow. I prepared the chicken breasts on the stovetop/in the oven, and they were perfectly moist and incredibly flavorful. They were probably a little spicy for some young ones, but Ellie didn't complain, and I love spiciness! Jon's working late, so hopefully the chicken is equally good reheated...
